After a shootout with 6 other opponents (including Ralf Schumacher) for the drive seat of Force India, Giancarlo Fisichella finally won the much sought-after race seat despite much doubts from critics. He firmly believes that he holds the number 1 position in the team, and is ahead of teammate Adrian Sutil due to his years of experience in F1.

Constantly outperformed by former teammate Fernando Alonso during their partnership during the 2005 and 2006 seasons, Giancarlo Fisichella has not found much luck in the 2007 season either. Heikki Kovalainen, Giancarlo’s new teammate, has been proving himself worthy of a place in the French team as compared to Giancarlo.
