Lewis Hamilton was unstoppable in the Friday practices for the German Grand Prix coming up this weekend.

As predicted, there was rainfall during Practice 1 today. Both the McLarens put in convincing performance to show the power of the Woking-based team, who are still riding high from Hamilton's victory in his homeground Silverstone GP. Kovalainen trailed his teammate and was the second fastest in the first practice, ahead of the Ferrari of Felipe Massa, Renault's Fernando Alonso and Massa's teammate Räikkönen.

In Practice 2, there weren't much differences in terms of the positions of the top 4 finishers, except for Kovalainen who have fallen behind the two Ferraris. Fernando Alonso is determined to keep his R28 on the front of the timesheet with a 6th place finish, but still falls behind the Red Bull of Mark Webber who did not have a good run in the morning.

While Sebastian Vettel, who has been officially unveiled as the other half of the Red Bull team (partner to Mark Webber), put in inspiring performances to take the 7th and 11th spots in the 1st and 2nd practices respectively, his teammate Sebastien Bourdais would be disturbed to find himself unable to match Vettel's pace and could very soon be displaced as a Toro Rosso driver.

With such domineering performance by Hamilton during the first two practices of the German Grand Prix under wet conditions, Ferrari will have to try to find their winning form back or they would run the risk of losing both the constructor's as well as the driver's lead to their rival McLaren.
