Toyota's Timo Glock, who was involved in a high-speed crash on Sunday's German Grand Prix, has been released from the hospital after being hospitalised for 48 hours.

Glock managed to walk away from the crash with a bruised back and will be looking forward to the team's testing in Jerez, Spain this Thursday.

"Before the impact I thought, 'here it comes', but it didn't hurt at all," he said.

"I saw the replay on the hospital television, it looked violent but I have put it past me."

"I have full confidence in my Toyota and could drive already today. In the factory they are looking over the car and will find the cause," he added.

"I will make the journey to Jerez for Thursday as planned, and in Hungary I will be flat out again!" the 26-year-old German driver declared.

Toyota will be looking into the rescue procedure for Glock with the FIA, discussing on whether the correct procedures have been followed during the rescue.

"We want to talk about how the driver was recovered from the cockpit," Toyota F1 President John Howett said.

"However, we do not wish to complain.

"Usually the driver is taken out of the car along with the seat. We understand that in the heat of the moment you can get excited."

"We will look at the video and figure out exactly what happened. The most important thing is that Timo is absolutely okay."

The rescue during the German Grand Prix was done such that the rescuers got Glock out of his car, while the driver was still clutching his back, before settling him onto a chair while being looked at by the medical team before he was sent to the Medical Centre.
