More viewers will be able to experience the first Formula 1 night race - live!

With 90% of the tickets sold out for the inaugural Singapore Grand Prix taking place this September 28th, the Singapore GP organisers have decided to add another 1500 seats to the event in order to allow more people to catch the premiere Formula 1 night race.

The new seats will be at Turn 14, after the Anderson Bridge, and the grandstand at the final corner of the circuit will also be extended. The tickets will be going on sale from tomorrow onwards, so those of you who have yet to get your hands on the tickets, you would really want to do so now before it is too late.

The consecutive left-right-left turns 10 and 11 will be renamed as turns 10 A, B and C.  The decision was made by the Singapore GP organisers and Singapore GP director Michael McDonough said, "What was Turns 10 and 11 was actually three corners close together, which were created to provide the right corner speed due to the lack of straight ahead run off in this part of the circuit.

"As it's created around what is in effect the approach to one corner, it was determined that one turn number (10) should be used, with A, B, and C to determine the changes in geometry through the turn."
