23 Betting Options for Punters

Starting next month, punters in Singapore can finally fulfil their dreams of betting on Formula 1 races.

According to a report in the Straits Times, there will be a total of 23 types of bets, which include the drivers' and constructors' championships, race winners (top 3), and also the first driver to retire.

Not all of the 23 types of bets will be offered throughout the 18 races in the season. The types will depend on the race circumstances.

The bets for the Drivers' and Constructors' Championships will be taken from 4th March onwards, whereas the race-specific bets will be taken from March 11 for the Australian Grand Prix (taking place on March 16). Subsequently, these race-specific bets will be accepted from the Tuesdays of each race week right up to 5 minutes before the start of the race. The minimum bet placement is $5.

At the SportsBuzz outlet at Paradiz Centre, where the headquarters of Singapore Pools is, there will be "live" screening of the races much like the current "live" screening of the soccer matches offered. The premise is expected to be expanded to accomodate more punters, including the new private rooms available for corporate bookings.
