Toro Rosso's team manager Massimo Rivola has urged the FIA to review the Singapore Grand Prix timetable for safety reasons.

The Singapore Grand Prix, slated to take place this September 26-28, will be the first ever Formula 1 night race. However, the novelty meant an immense amount of preparation and testing would need to be conducted to ensure that on the race day itself, nothing would go wrong.

Toro Rosso's team manager Massimo Rivola has raised a new concern recently to Autosport.com regarding the testing timetable.

"The most important is that our schedule should be all over the night, rather than split between day and the night. The sunset in Singapore is at 7pm and at the moment the plan is to have first practice finish at 6pm and second practice to start at 8pm."

Drivers are used to driving their F1 cars around the tracks under natural daylight, but the Singapore Grand Prix would prove to be a challenge for all as the first race under floodlights. With the concern mentioned above, it would appear that the drivers would only be given a time of 90 minutes to test under the floodlights and to be used to the condition before the qualifying session on the next day.

In the Qatar MotoGP race at the beginning of March this year however, the MotoGP riders were given 2 days of preparation under the floodlights.
