| S. Iswaran Sees the Bright Side of Ticketing Fiasco |
![]() Copyright Shincorp.com Singapore's Minister of State, Mr. S Iswaran, said that the ticketing fiasco had a silver lining to it: there is a huge demand for the tickets to the Singapore Grand Prix. Following the three-day frustration to the purchasing of tickets to the event, Singapore GP Pte Ltd has printed huge ads in the local newspaper with the headline, "We are sorry". In the official website, there is also a pop-up window giving the customers a number to call should they face any problem in their transaction and also apology for the inconvenience caused. While the fiasco might be in the newspapers for the wrong reason, the minister saw the bright side of things - that the demand for the tickets is definitely high and an indication that the event will be well-received worldwide. The purchasing of tickets were generally smoother over the weekends, although F1-live.com reported that the system failed again on Sunday.
